Monster Bookmarks

It’s Book Week!!!!!

It’s a very busy week this week as we have our visit to the Life caravan and cycling proficiency as well as the book fair. We are still finding time to do book based activities though.

This afternoon we all made monster bookmarks!

The bookmarks will be going home tonight just in time for the Big Read. Make sure that you all read at home so that we can win the trophy for this term!

    Dear 5JdV,
    It’s Erin from NGPS.
Our classroom decided to try and make some of our own. I made a puppy and his name is Peter! I also made an alien and I named him Tommy! It was really fun to make and I think that everyone enjoyed making them.

Today we have a Teacher versus Students netball game. I’m in the position Goal Defence. I’m really nervous and excited. I’m not very good :/ Oh well I’ll try really hard to win!

I ama a teacher and just googled monster book marks to see if they could be adapted for Christmas activities…..funny that I find photos of 5JdV ……the classroom next to mine! I think they all looked fabulous – let’s see if we can adapt them for Christmas? Maybe out of Christmas paper? Reindeer bookmarks or Santa bookmarks? What do you think? Miss Smith 🙂

Hi! My class decided to do this activity after seeing that you did them. It was fun and not difficult at all! I made a monster and a penguin. So far I have named the monster oggie but haven’t found a name for my penguin. How long did it take for you to do them? It took me about 20 minutes! I put mine on the corner of my netbook. What did you do with yours other than using them for a bookmark?
