River Artwork

We have painted pictures of a river as part of our river topic. We tried hard to use colour mixing to create the effect of water on a sunny day.

    Hello it’s Cailyn from N.G.P.S,
I really love your paintings! They’re all so good I can’t decide which one is my favourite. I think that river sides are peacefull and are great to do as paintings. Was it hard to do? Did you have fun doing them? Was it a long process?

Hi my name is Livvy I have a friend with me called Rachel
and thankyou for your kind comment we couldn’t decide aswell.
It wasn’t hard at all, all we had to do is splodges for the grass and different colours for the waves.
We did have a lot of fun because Rachel got paint from her finger to her wrist.
It wasn’t very long for me but some people thought it was ages!!
Did you know my friend is called Caitlin but its spelt different?

Hi my name is Alex from New Gisborne Primary School,
I liked all of the paintings they are great. the one that I liked the best is Josh’s painting because it reminds me of a river I canoed down with scouts. but the one I canoed down had logs and weeds as obstacles.like the trees in the river in Harveys painting I have a few questions.
    1. are they based on a specific river?
2.Did you do them in your spar time or during school?

      Hi Alex
I’m glad you like our paintings
They are not really based on a river but we have been learning about the River Severn.
We done them at school time on friday because on Friday its art.
