Jubilee Celebrations

It has been a bit delayed but we finally got round to celebrating the jubilee at school. Everyone had to dress up in red, white and blue of course!

Year 5 dressed in red, white and blue.

In the afternoon we were going to have a street (playground) party but as the weather forecast was for thunder storms and torrential rain, we had to change that.  In year 5 we had the amazing Jubilee quiz. Mrs de Voil  and Miss Smith had found some really tricky questions but at the end we still had a tie for first place. We did  a tie breaker but they were still level. In the end all the winning team members got house points.

We had a quick play outside in the sunshine while people were setting up the hall and then we went and had our picnic party.

Everybody had a great time!

Hello, my name is Hanzala and my school also celebrated the queens diamond jubilee but it was quite different as we had our lunch outdoors and celebrated it before the jubilee. I hope you all had fun!

Hi Class 5, I’m Miss Edmondson the teacher at Cheetham Academy. I hope you enjoyed your Jubilee celebrations. We had one too, but it was befire the half term. Asda sponsored us – we ended up making hundreds of sandwiches! (The rest of the staff ate the leftovers!)
