On a very snowy Friday afternoon in January Mrs Norman came into 5jdv and made pottery owls with us. You can see them in our post In the snow in the archive. Since then, the owls have been fired and last week they arrived back in the classroom.
They looked very different from the last time we saw them. Next we had to glaze them before they were fired in the kiln. The glaze was painted on in different shades of brown.
Finally on Friday afternoon the owls arrived back in the classroom totally transformed!
Thank you Mrs Norman for coming in and helping us to make them. We all love them and can’t wait to take them home.

Dear 5JdV,
Those owls look so unique. How long did it take to make all the owls. I wish I could have one.
