Persuasive Writing

We finished out persuasive writing unit by visiting the website artisancam and using the picture book maker. We made picture books that gave the animals point of view about living in a zoo.

We also looked again at our point of view chart. Everybody gave a brilliant speech in which they tried to persuade people to agree with them and then people had to decide whether they had changed their minds or not. Here is the final chart.

Quite a few people had changed their views on zoos after studying them over the past two weeks and more people are now in support of animals living in zoos.

What do you think? Were you one of the people who changed their mind or did your opinion stay the same? Why not post a comment to say what you think.

At the start of the week i put my postit note on Agree, at the end of the week i thought that the people that gave the Disagreement speeches were really good so i changed mine to disagree. I think animals being kept in zoos is not nice!! 🙂
