A Wolf’s Head                       by      Aiden

In it there is hope
and sadness at being in prison
behind silver bars
in a lonely enclosure.

And there is
a giant frozen river in the wolf’s mind

And there is
an entirely new world
an entirely new home
an entirely new background

There is a lake
that jumps like a fish

There is a she wolf standing
There is a cub
and everlasting snow

And joy that will last for ever

There is lots in a wolf’s mind
that cannot be explained.

In it there are memories of wolf cubs
doing their first lessons in hunting

And there is Black Flame
who shall be first

And there is
an entirely new background
an entirely new future
and entirely new world

There are snowflakes
snowflakes spinning upwards

There is a snow hare

There is a fear of a boy’s safety.

a camel trotting through the hot desert
and a plan to escape the cage

There is a blizzard of snow in Alaska

There is
an entirely new story
an entirely new future
an entirely new family

There is a river of fears floating away

There is much promise
in the future
that so many wolves have heads.
