Stained Glass Trees

Our art lesson last week was inspired by our visit to the church. We had enjoyed looking at all the stained glass windows and created our own pictures in the same style. We used trees as the main idea for the pictures.

Part of our corridor display

We used thick black marker pens for the tree shapes and filled in the spaces with oil pastels.

    Dear Livvy,
Wow I love your stain glass tree! Did you do them in art class? Our grade did stain glass windows. We did it in the start of the year and they took about 4 or 5 weeks my design was a group of multi coloured clouds we researched them then we made our own. I really like yours Livvys it has good use of colour! We painted ours. Please respond! πŸ™‚

That sounds rely fun! I want to try this now, I’m ok at drawing specific things and really good at creative and fun things. Do you have to use oil pastels or can you use a different type of coloring utensil?
