Our poems

Here are some of the poems that we wrote after our shared writing on Wednesday.

Flame the Dragon

Orange flaming eyes burning the whole city
He stares anxiously at his precious treasure
So nobody steals it.

Teeth are as sharp as a blade
They cut through metal bars
They are as yellow as the sun.

 by     Ayisha

Rader the Eagle

Eyes like fire burning
Stare at the vast, dark, dull mountain
A gold heap of treasure.

Teeth like bright blades
Sharp as swords
They smell like mouldy cheese
Feel like rough rocks.

Skin like hard emeralds lies over
the skin of black
As hot as the sun
with white spots

Claws like sharp daggers
Long nails
Dirty mud.

by Becky

Fire Flinger

Eyes like lava pools
Shine like lanterns in his cave
His treasure gets hot
from him staring at it.

His claws cling carefully
To treasure he’s stolen
His claws are like bird talons
80 times bigger.

His teeth are as big as a rhino’s horn
As sharp as a shark’s tooth
Every hour a new one is born.

by Oliver

Blade

His giant orange eyes like molten lava
Glint in the eerie darkness,
Gleaming at the crescent moon.

His black body
is embedded with razor sharp blades
that glow in the darkness.

Shining dull scales
As hard as diamonds
Cover his leathery skin.

His striped tail
As flexible as a gymnast
Wraps round a sturdy tree branch.

His knife-like teeth line his jaw
Around his mouth
Molten breath can melt even the hardest rock.

His legs hold claws the size of a cat
Dripping with raw human blood
Can kill anything.
