The Mysterious Hole

The hole appeared on the field.

Where did it come from? Nobody knows. Where does it lead to? Nobody knows. What will happen now? Nobody knows.

Deeper than the height of a child, the hole lay on the edge of the field, on the very verge of the playground, in the sunshine.     (with apologies to Ted Hughes)

What do you think about the hole? How did it happen? Where could it lead? What might be at the bottom?

How much bigger will it get? (it has got bigger since Friday!)

Post any ideas that you might have in the comments. Remember that every comment gets a house point!

The mysterious hole is really big. All the grass has fallen to the bottom of the ground. There could be something that maks the hole bigger each night.
