The alien soup
On Thursday we found a strange mixture in our classroom. Apparently aliens had been making soup! Our job was to work out what was in the soup and try to see if we could separate the different materials.
We had a whole range of equipment including sieves, funnels and beakers as well as all sorts of different materials to use to filter the mixture.
What strange ingredients for soup!
That's the rice separated then!
Filtering the water took ages.
Eventually we had separated everything out of the water and had filtered it so that it looked quite clear. Was it fit to drink though? We are now leaving it to evaporate to see what is left.

I really enjoyed doing the alien soup in Sience. It was a bit hard though because the glitter was hard to get off the rice.
