Finley’s traveller’s tale

A Traveller’s Tale by Finley

“Hello, hello. Is anybody home?” shouts the traveller smashing his fist on the dark door as he stands in the moonlit graveyard. The traveller looks at the dark door and finds the knocker. He pulls it back and pushes it forwards with a bang.

“Tee hee, tee hee” laughs a faint cry while the shadow of a floating fiend hovers above the stairs.

The traveller pauses. He starts to feel slightly perplexed. He smashes the door again, shivering in the wind. The top two boarded windows begin to glow.

The traveller stands back and peers up whilst a mighty eagle flies past, wailing in the cold. He starts to feel a faint twist inside, a feeling that he is not alone. He calls out “I know that someone is in there, so tell them that I came but didn’t get a reply. I kept my promise!”

The traveller stumbles out of the graveyard and flees as quick as lightning.

I really like Fin’s story about the traveller and I like the language he has chosen. Well done Fin!
