Last Wednesday Mr Henley came in from the high school to do a drama session with us about the water cycle.
We were put into 5 groups, one was a group of aliens, the others were very intelligent children. Mrs de Voil had to be the narrator.
We began by thinking about what the oldest thing in the room was. We thought it was Mr Henley but it wasn’t. It was the glass of water because water is billions of years old. It just keeps going round and round in a cycle.
We learned that aliens have a special way of waving and we all had to practice. The aliens were fairly stupid and didn’t seem to know anything. The children had to explain all about the water cycle to them.
We learned some crazy songs and some actions. It was much more interesting than a normal lesson. It was educational but it was an unusual way to learn something. It was more like a story than an explanation. We thought that it really helped us to remember the water cycle.

That looks like fun! What was your favorite thing you have done to do with water cycles?

We have done loads of water cycle stuff. Lots of us liked the dance best but we also liked our ICT work.
