Visit to the National Space Centre

Trying to find the answers to the questions on the sheet

When we went to the space centre we all had a great day. While we were there we went to the space theatre. The space theatre was all about planets. We learnt all about the planets including earth and pluto. When we were in the space theatre we had a quiz about all of the planets in the solar system.

Learning all about the space race

One small step for man……………………..

We went to the rocket tower. There were 144 steps up to the top, it was a long way. The rocket tower had real rockets and bits of space craft in it. You could stand in the spacesuit and pretend that you were an astronaut. There was loads of stuff about the moon landings.

There were lots of models to look at.

In the model section there was a game where you had to build the rocket in the best time which was fun! Also there was a game where you had to hit the red buttons and that was called reaction. Also there was a model spaceship where you could play with the controls and pretend that you were flying it.

Which planet would float in your bath?

We found out what planets would float in your bath or if they would sink. Around the bath tub there were loads of displays about space and the planets. In the bath we found out that Saturn was the one that could float.

Everybody wanted to have a go at presenting the weather.

There was a weather forecast room. Everyone in the whole year group had a go and wanted a go, they all enjoyed it. Anyone who went in the weather forecast room, had to record their speech and then it would come up on the screen outside of the weather forecast room. It was dead fun!!!!!!
