Miroslav Holub wrote a poem called The Door. Some people chose to use this one as a model. Here are some of the poems we wrote.
The window
Go and look out of the window
maybe there is
your teacher standing there
a bike, or a wood
or a giant Greek
Go and look out of the window
there’s a flying book
or a frogs legs
or nothing!
Go and look out of the window
there might be
a howling wolf,
there will be a
DRAUGHT!
close the window now

The Door
Go and open the door
maybe there is a
lamp post,or a bike,
a flower
or a dancing dog
Go and open the door
maybe a wolf is howling
maybe you will see a rabbit fighting
or a gun
or the moonlight shadow
Go and open the door
maybe there is a shodow of a hunter
holding a gun,
if there is a spider it will soon go
out to the darkness and cold.
The door cracked and shut closed
and will never open again.

The Door
If you open the door,
there could be
a 1000 year old book flying in the wind
foxes beating each other up
or a hunter eliminating everyanimal the eye can see
If you open the door,
maybe there is
a large nose with a small nose on top of it
a shining shooting star twinkling like mad
or leaves twisting and twirling.
Go and open the door,
Even if black and darkness fills
the earth,
Go and open the door.
At least you will have done something
